Let’s start our first blog post with a phrase that many programmers start their journey with: Hello world!

We’re Vision Raft, a team of people who have worked in different industries throughout the years, but gathered together to have an impact on the most valuable aspect of every nation in the world: children, and the bright future they should have.

During the difficult days of COVID 19, we had a light bulb moment in our heads. Social distancing made everyone stay at the comfort of their homes. Including children. For the first time in many years, people had to stay away from each other, and not for a short period of time: we had to do it for months or even a year. This made us all work from home if possible, and more importantly, made everyone continue their education from home. This began to become problematic for children, as they were not involved in social activities, and couldn’t develop necessary skills during such important phase of their lives.

This is how we got the idea to create Vision Raft, a VR platform that focuses on education and entertainment for children. Although the idea was inspired by children being away from each other, we began to understand the potential that VR could offer for learning new things.

Virtual Reality opens up so many doors to consume data. The entertainment industry has been utilizing VR for years, but the lack of proper education platforms using VR is a gap that hasn’t been filled yet. Imagine taking a history class, but putting on a VR headset and actually explore the place like you’re literally there. Or playing mini games to learn about science, mathematics or any other subject that makes learning a fun and more interesting activity for everyone.

Anyways, this was the first blog post of Vision Raft’s book, with many more coming your way soon!
